Course 812 - Integrating Technology with Classroom Teaching and Learning
Length of Course: 16 Modules
Course Hours (Seat Time): 16 study hours minimum
Course
Description: You've heard people talk about
"integrating technology". But how does it look when it's
done? How does it apply to your classroom?
In this 16 lesson
course you will explore the changes that need to happen in
the transition from a traditional, teacher-led classroom, to
an interactive technology-using classroom. You'll design and
test several technology-based lessons and explore the
resources available to support you in your efforts. Best of
all, you'll come away with a new understanding of what it is
and how to integrate technology into your
classroom.

through the exercises as you progress through the course.
While this can be an academic exercise, it will enhance your
learning if you are able to do the work on a computer with
appropriate software. Throughout the course I will provide
extension activities and refer you to web sites, articles,
and books on the topics. To maximize your participation in this
class, you should have experience in surfing the Internet,
have access to a computer and software, and have the ability
to try your lessons with "real" students. Access to email
will ensure your interactive participation for the
course.
